Kenny Han

Ever since his first steps into the world of music with the piano, it has been inseparable from Kenny’s daily life.

Highlights of Kenny’s musical career include attending the Michael Cox Flute Symposium at the University of Adelaide in April 2018, performing in a masterclass with Principal Flute of the Estonian National Opera Orchestra Jonathan Henderson, as well as attending the Australian Flute Festival in 2017. He has also worked with Eigth Blackbird and Grammy award winning flautist Tim Munro to perform world premieres of multiple works. Most recently, he toured Europe with the internationally recognised Gondwana Chorale.

Over his musical education Kenny has gathered a wealth of experience in music, ranging from singing to playing the piano flute. Kenny has performed in a multitude of Queensland and Australia’s premier youth music ensembles including the Queensland Youth Symphony, playing as Concertmaster in the QYO Wind Symphony, and singing in the world-renowned Gondwana Choirs, in both Gondwana Voices and Gondwana Chorale. As part of his university studies, he was Principal Flute of the University of Queensland Symphony Orchestra.

Development of his musical abilities has seen him awarded an AMus.A Diploma in Flute and a Certificate of Performance in Piano. He completed a Bachelor of Music with First Class Honours in Flute Performance at the University of Queensland in 2018 under the guidance of the respected Brisbane flautist Patrick Nolan.

In the future, he hopes to continue his musical journey with further study internationally.
